My Business Plan of Selling a Website for $ 1 Million

I don’t want to do any small to medium sized website flips anymore. Now onwards I will only focus on 7 figure website flipping. I mean a website or a blog having net worth of $ 1 Million. In other words,  I am talking about building a website or a blog out of scratch and sell it for a whooping $ 1 million after working on it for few years.

Now, here I will reveal you my own plan of 7 figure website flipping. Well, I personally don’t want to take any stress in my life anymore and that’s why I will do it in very usual and smooth manner.

So How a Million Dollar Website Selling works?

Well, see a website or a blog is a business. It’s not just the virtual space but it also provides value to the people around the world and generate a cashflow for you. According to international business standards, the valuation of any business is roughly 3-5 times it’s annual revenue.

So to build a million dollar website I don’t need to generate a million dollar income from it every year. but I need to generate sufficient income every year from that website by multiplying it with a factor of 3-5 can make a million dollar? Don’t understand? Well, let me explain you this by the Example.

Well, suppose you own some Asset right? and now that Asset generates $ 1000 of annual income. So according to international business standards how much the valuation (net worth) of that Asset. Well it can be anywhere between $ 3000-5000. This is the standard rule of valuation and the valuation of any asset around the world such as stocks, real estate, businesses or any other asset is calculated in such a manner by finance gurus.

So if we do the simple maths than if I can build a website or a blog that generates US$ 200,000 to $ 330,000 every year than by multiplying these figures with 3-5 can make it’s valuation to US$ 1 Million right? So let’s take the mid figure of US$ 250,000.

So I need to develop a website or a blog out of scratch in such a manner that it can generate average US$ 250,000 every year. If I can do this than  I can sell my that website business for US$ 1 Million or more.

How Will I chose a Niche for my Million dollar Site Flipping?

Well, the first thing is to chose a profitable niche in which already other people around the world are making money.  The following 3 niches are the huge and hottest money making niches.

03) Dating & relationships

I will personally plan to chose any one of the above niche. Well, I don’t like to chose broad niche for my next website flipping venture. I am planning to chose highly specified and narrowed niche. In other words, I am not planning to launch the encyclopedia on Money and finance. but I am planning to narrow down my niche such as,

- Get out of Credit card debt

- Weight losing tips for pregnant women

- Investing in mutual funds

- Debt Consolidation help

- Diabetes and fitness

- And many others like this……

The key is to chose a niche which is highly specific and there is a huge demand for some kind of quality information product in that niche.

Choosing a Domain Name for my Million Dollar flipping

Of course, I will buy a domain name from GoDaddy.com. Because it’s the best. I will look for the following domain names.

- Keyphrase.com

-Key-phrase.com

-KeyphraseXYZ.com

- XYX Keyphrase.com

Suppose if I don’t get these domain names for my next venture, I will buy them from domainers. I am willing to pay as high as US$ 10,000 per domain name for my this venture because choosing a perfect and short domain name is the key of success in the website business. I don’t mind investing $ 10,000 for buying the desired domain name as I am going to make much more money than this.

Installing a Website on the Web Host using Joomla

Once I will buy a domain name, I will install a unique website template on the web host. I use HostGator.com as my favorite host. I will use Joomla to build my own unique website template. Many of you may never heard about Joomla. Well, let me tell you that it’s the best software to build and manage your own website and its content.

And on the top of this it’s a free software to use. So go for it.

Choosing an Affiliate Product to Promote to generate income from the website

The next very important step is to find some good digital information product to promote that perfectly fits in my niche. I will chose these products from the following 2 marketplaces.

01) Clickbank

02) Commission Junction

As both of the above are the reputed marketplaces to find good affiliate products online. I will also do some market research on the internet to find out that which kind of digital information products in any niche sell more than the others. In other words, I will find out out that which kind of product in my niche is in high demand and after doing thorough market research I will chose a good and quality product for my website business.

Creating Unique and Interesting Content for my Website Business

Now comes the very important part and that is content creation. As I personally don’t like to write in niches about which I am not passionate about so I will hire 2-3 good high quality freelance writers to write excellent unique articles for my new venture.

Remember that the content is the king. And if you can create unique and interesting enough content than the sky is the limit for making money online for you. I am also planning to pay US$ 5 per article to the quality freelance writers. I know that this will be a really high cost but according to the size of the venture, this is an Investment.

Doing the Social Media Marketing of my Website

Now comes another important part of the entire venture and that is website marketing. We do website marketing to drive a targeted web traffic. there are several ways to market your website and content but I personally prefer the social media sites to market my content and websites such as,

- Digg

- Delicious

- StumbleUpon

- Facebook

- Twitter

Obviously Google is outstanding source of web traffic but it takes a time to build the natural links and drive a targeted organic search engine web traffic and this is the reason I personally prefer Social media websites to drive a huge web traffic. Believe me, social media is the excellent way to drive a web traffic and build a popularity of your website business in a short period of time.

Why I Choose Website Flipping as my Career?

Many people ask me that why I chose this career only? Well, this is because I don’t like to work 9 to 5 at job place and live paycheck to paycheck. The concept of trading the valuable time for money is not suitable for me. I am a free bird and I like freedom. I can’t work at job place whole the day and whole the month to get that paycheck.

Rather than that I love to travel the world, meet different kind of people from all around the world and experience the different cultures from all around the world and this is the reason 9-5 job was not a suitable career for me.

A Routine Day of a Website Flipper – 2 Hours a Day working life style

Let me tell you my own lifestyle. I work just 2 hours a day behind my websites and blogs. And the rest of the day I enjoy, party with friends and meet new people.

I usually wake up at 8 AM in the morning and it takes half an hour to do all my routines. At 9 o’clock sharp I start may laptop and check my mail box first. I usually reply to valuable comments and feedbacks that I receive on my websites and blogs. After that I start working on creating a unique content for my blog.

Well, I keep a notebook with me in which I write down all the article titles for my future posts and new ideas about my future posts. I also bookmark the interesting content on the internet so that in future I can create unique and interesting content for my blogs and readers.

I usually write long articles. As you must have observed that all the articles on this blog are very long. I like to discuss the things in detail so that the interested readers can learn everything about that topic. I write the articles in such a manner that I don’t have to cover them in future anymore. A reader can get the over all idea about that topic by reading only that one single article about that topic.

Many people ask me that do I hire the freelance writers? Well, NO. I personally write all the articles and content by myself. I don’t hire any writers for me because the freelance writers are nothing but the people who re-write the same things again and again in different manner.

I personally don’t like this strategy because if something is already covered on the web than why should I re-write it? You will never find articles and information given on the eBusinessFlipper anywhere else on the internet. This is because I write everything from my own experiences. And if i have not experienced something, i will never write about that thing.

This is my own strategy.

Another thing is that, I have seen on the blogsphere that most of the bloggers call themselves some kind of “Gurus” and “Experts”. I don’t like such kind of writing strategy. You have never read in any of my articles saying me that I am some kind of Guru or an expert. This is because I am a simple human being just like you and I have learned everything from my own experiences and mistakes and this blog is all about my all the mistakes and personal experiences.

In fact, I never hide my mistakes. Rather than that I openly share my mistakes because mistakes are invaluable and we can learn from our own mistakes. I keep in mind these facts and write articles according to that. I don’t need to copy and paste them from anywhere from the world.

So from 9 to 11 in the morning, I work on to write unique articles for my readers. After 11, I usually start calling my friends. Well, right now I am on my world tour of world’s Top 25 most beautiful cities so obviously I don’t have friends in all the cities of world. So what I do is, I go outside in some bar or the restaurant or at some public place where I find the like minded people.

I interact with people around me and find some good friends. This doesn’t mean that all the time I search for the date. I also search for the good friends also. I usually do my homework at night on the internet. Well, which is that homework? Well that home work is – I find the best places of the city which I travel. Say for Example when I was in Vancouver, Canada – I used to find great places to hang out in Vancouver. When I was in Malaysia, I used to find best bars and casinos of Malaysia so that I can go there and enjoy like anything.

Anyways, so I spend up to 4 o’clock in the evening like this. I see the best places and restaurants of the cities and try to make good friends in the city in which I travel. At 4 o’clock I go back to my home. I usually don’t like to stay in hotels because I travel any city around the world for 3-4 months. So I find a good vacation home or a rental apartment for me where I can live just like my home.

In the evening I again go outside to play in casinos and sometimes for a date. I usually like peaceful places for the dating and my favorite Casino games are Roulette and Blackjack.

Why I love to play Roulette and blackjack in Casinos? How Did I learn Casino Games?

Well, many people ask me that you are a website flipper than how can you play Roulette and Blackjack? In fact many friends ask me this question when they see me winning lots of money on the Roulette table.

Well, Once upon a time in 2006, I developed 2 websites about Roulette and Blackjack which I flip for US$ 60,000 each. And at that time, I read and learned a lot from many blackjack and roulette gurus from all around the world. In fact, at that time I was in touch with professional Blackjack players who were making their entire living only on the Gambling.

I learned a lot from them about Casino games, multi parameter card counting and many other casino strategies which helped me to create a unique content for both of my websites which I later on flip for huge profits. This is the advantage of becoming a website flipper. I have a fair enough knowledge about the Casino games because of my flipping business.

I love to Drink Chivas Regal. It’s my best scotch whiskey.

After playing in casinos, I usually go for dance parties in the local areas of the city where I live. I love to dance a lot. Of course… I learned the steps of dancing from other blogs.

I still make money while I enjoy my Life

Do you know that what is the best thing about this kind of lifestyle? Well, whole the day I work just 2 hours and enjoy rest of my day but still whole the day and even during night when I am sleeping, I still make money. My Internet businesses make money for me even without my presence. Even if I travel the world, play in casinos or go for a date –  still make money all that time.

Job Versus Dot Com Life Style

This is my Dot com life style. I mean a job is the active income while a website business is a passive income. To develop a website business you need to work hard at once only and later on your business will start making passive income for you which will ultimately make you money for the rest of your life even if you stop working.

What I don’t like about job is that, the day you stop working behind your job, your that income stream will be lost and to make that much money every month you will have to work hard until you retired, get disabled or don’t want any more money.

Well, yes. every 1 out of 4 queries on Google born every day are unique. I mean in the history of Google, these queries have never take the place. Now, you will ask that how can that be possible? Well, just see around you. See the Sports events, product launch, breaking news in the newspapers and everything else. All of these things were never in the history of world’s literature.

And when somebody (Usually the newspapers) broke that News, people will start searching for that thing more on Google. This is a natural phenomena. The recent hottest trend in Google USA web traffic is the UFC Fights and that’s why I bought a domain name ExactKeyword-Extension.com (Well, I don’t want to reveal this domain name right now to you) from GoDaddy.com

I installed a unique Wordpress Blog theme on that domain name. This time I preferred a new strategy and that was Video Content. As people love to see videos about sports and that’s why I posted great videos of UFC Fights from YouTube.com

I also started extensive backlinks portfolio building for SEO from the first day I bought the domain name. The Domain name is just 3 months old. And it has less than 100 posts (Content & Video) on it about UFC Fights.

You won’t believe this but within a month, my blog started driving literally thousands of unique visitors from Google without any effort. This is because there was not much content about this sport on Google before and my Blog was about exact what people wanted.

And in past just 3 months, the little blog has received 1 Million unique visitors from Google via its organic search. And this with just the investment of $ 10 to buy a Domain name. I have not invested anything else except Domain Name for my this venture and this blog has received 1 Million unique visitors in just last 3 months from Google without any effort. As you know that I am on my world tour and I don’t work much on my World tour.

To receive this much of web traffic for specific keywords, fortune 500 companies are spending literally millions of dollars every year behind SEO and social media marketing. Just think that how much you will have to pay to Google AdWords to buy this much of web traffic for a specific keyword? If we consider $ 0.50 per each unique visitor for this keyword than you will have to spend literally US $ 500,000 to buy 1 Million Unique Visitors from Google Networks.

And I did it with just $ 10 of Investment.

Well, yes my whole the website portfolio was making US $ 500,000 every year so it’s fair valuation should be US $ 1.5-2.5 Million.

Thus, sometimes it is quiet possible that the buyer is willing to pay much more than you think. This is because it is quiet possible that the buyer is very much interested in the website you own.

As this is my routine habit that before travelling anywhere, I gather all the possible information about that place so that I can enjoy it a lot. So I started my Domain Search. My preferred site to buy a Domain name is GoDaddy.com. Obviously as a rule of thumb of website flipping, I prefer the domain name having a keyphrase in it. And here the key phrase was Vancouver. So I started to search for the following Domain Names.

And ultimately I find a good domain name which was VancouverXYZ.com. This Domain name was really look like a premium domain name and that’s why I decided to buy that domain name and develop a Wordpress blog on that domain name. My preferred host is HostGator.com

After that I started posting unique, Information rich and interesting articles on that Blog. I chosen the Customized Blog Template. I also started a link building Campaign (Means posting articles on popular articles directories with a back link of the original domain).

My writing strategy for a Blog Business is really unique. I target keywords but I create a content which has never been created on this earth. Take the Example of this Article. You will never read this kind of article on the web or anywhere else in the world. This is because I write it from my own personal experiences.

So I started writing articles for my Vancouver Travel Blog out of my own experience of several things in Vancouver. Now, you can attract any kind of web traffic from the Google and other search engines if you create a unique and information rich content targeting that keyword.
